We are all familiar with the movies Silence of the Lambs, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, and the show Norman Bates right? I'm sure most of us went to bed thinking "at least it's just a movie" but what if we told you that these movies were inspired by one of americas most gut wrenching serial killers known as Ed Gein aka the Butcher of Plainfield Wisconsin. The inside of Ed's home left officers traumatized, from bowls made out of his victims skulls, to chairs and leggings made out of human skin, there was also a lamp made out of the skin of his victims face and tons of more terrifying things.
